This 1959 Opel Rekord Olympia P1 1.5 belongs to my dad. He bought it at Funen were it had been for sale for a while. It formerly belonged to the owner of a plantation at the island Thurø and has only driven 70.000km. The original papers is still with the car. Althought it looks a bit sad the rust is limited to the wheelarches and bottom plates. The front wings are fibreglass items. The car has a new 6v battery and even when it has been standing for 2-3 months it starts within minutes, with full choke.

The 11th September the P1 was finally taken to our new garage in the centre of town, for further inspection.Much to our surprise it was in very good shape, considering it had been standing outside for 3 years before my dad bought it. The front crossing chassis rails, the sills and floor opposite the spare wheel well needs to be replaced, and likewise a couple of small places in the floor. Mechanically the car is in very good shapedue to the low milage.
