This 1974 Ascona A 16n were for sale at a modest price at the webpage of the Historic Opelclub. As I were still looking for an everyday car after I purchased the Kadett B I drove down to look at this car. And I was certainly not dissappointed as the car was very well looked after. It was even an economy-model without the electric heated rear window, which were standard equipment in all of Scandinavia, rubber floor mats an a coverplate in the instruments were the big watch is normally located! Unfortunately I reasoned that 3 cars on full road tax and insurance would be a bit expensive so I dind't buy it after all. I've come to regret that decision many times since as I could simply have turned in the license plates as they weren't anything special anyways.
